Hello!
Today Miss Hunter handed over the School Council to me to oversee! I’m very excited to work with all the students involved and can’t wait to get started!
As some of you know, I have a passion for the environment and being Eco-friendly. I will be signing Barham up to the Eco-Schools programme in the hope to win some awards.
To find out more about Eco-Schools, visit their website or click this link to find out more.

For the moment, I’d love to hear some ideas about how we can improve our environmental awareness and help Barham become an award winning Eco-School.
Post below, stating what you think being ‘Eco-friendly’ is and how we can make Barham even more Eco-friendly.
Looking forward to hearing your wonderful ideas!
Miss Khatri.
To be eco-friendly you can have an assembly about being eco-friendly and in the assembly you can ask the children what they think eco-friendly is and ask if they have any ideas about being eco-friendly.
you should have a class assemblely
That’s a great idea Aparna, Kushal, Thyshia and Harsh! I’ll pass this on to the school council and we can hopefully have one soon.
I understand how all the excitement approaches you.
This coming Monday, shall we make a poster about not picking plants?
I think that every class should have a eco-monitor that collects litter rather than everyone rushing towards the bin and on the Barham walls we should have posters so everyone will notice if they’re doing the right thing or not.

Fantastic idea Yesha! I’ll make sure to pass this onto the School Council.
Miss Khatri
I think there should be a chart in each class (like a chore chart) to make sure that everyday we conserve as much energy as we can.
Great minds think alike Miss Khatri. Just this weekend, I looked at the very same website and thought about signing us up. I would love to come and sit in on the next school council meeting and find out what all the children think about it. #Excited
I hope you have an exciting day teaching the school council.
